As the title says will the stock pump be enough for 19# injectors? Also gonna be running and adjustable fuel pressure regulator
You should be fine with it. It's something you can always upgrade down the road one day. The stock fuel pressure is fine as it is. Also, why 19# injectors? Did you do an H.O upgrade?
It will work but if it has not been replaced i would up grade it at this point. Have a great day guys
Im doing alot of swaping. Going sd to mass air. Auto to t5 and basicaly a HO swap.
The car is gettin (process starting sunday) a 89 stang motor all stock with "B" cam explorer intake 70 mm tb stock mass air meter. Fenderwell cold air kit. Re using my current exhaust equal length bbk shortys and off road x pipe. The 19# injectors are out of my brothers first gen lightning witch he bought new in 95 the injectors are free and only have about 10k miles on them. Im on a budget so some upgrades are on hold for awhile I just want to get it all in b4 winter sets in here in pa. Im trying to cut some cost and save money so thats y in doing the 19# injectors
19's will work fine. Nice budget build you have going on. I like it.
Yeah its a pretty basic setup. I didnt want to go nuts and build a crazy motor and make the car unenjoyable to drive
Should move it along better tgan my 238k mile SO 5.0 with a AOD.
Plus its a nice platform to add too. Being a 89 motor those had forged pistons so they will handle a small power adder down the road
Starting the whole process in the morning hopefully it dont take more than a month or 2 to do.
Im excited but very nervous
If you are going this far pull the fuel tank and replace the rubber hose between the fuel pump and the hard line exiting the tank. These tend to deteriorate over the years and leak which causes a loss of fuel pressure and volume. Also, get a new sock filter for your pump and install that as well. All of this will be less than $20 and is good insurance if you ask me.
Good luck with the swap!!
