Hi guys i need to install new injectors in my car they are stock 14 lb. i heard the second gen 4 holes are alot better. im wondering what the second gen 14lb injectors came on?;)
I believe the 3.0 non-duratec Taurus/Sable had them. Not 100% though....
So, will the 4 hole injectors actually make a difference? there has to be someone who knows more applications...
94 Up v-6 stangs.
i wouldn't bother with it unless i had to replace them all anyways.
Ok there are 3 types of injectors most of us deal with. PINTLE DISC BALL. The 4 hole Bosch injectors are DISC and have a different pattern then a pintle. Most engines wont work well with disc 4 holes if they were designed for pintle. Also Disc injectors made by Bosch gum up much easier than Loucas disc injectors. But the BALL injector is the best but also has a slight pen 15ing issues as well. Gm is the first company to use the ball and it was designed by them. Ball injectors are the best in my view Bottom line the PINTLE injector is by far the best other than a BALL. I personally do not like 4 hole Bosch injectors. Hope this helps
So is there anybody who can give me feedback who has used the 4 hole injectors in there 5.0??????????????????????
Yep dont use them the intake is not designed for them. But they will work but not as good as the original pintle. Have a great day guys.
interesting,, just a few short years ago, this discussion was the opposite,,
better atomization using the 4hole was considered good.
Yep thats why i asked, i was told that by dr injector in tacoma. that 4 holes are better....
They are better for atomization with manifolds designed for them. So are 6 hole ones. They also clog much easier from heat soak. GM ball injectors are better, have a great day guys
