For the price I don't think it can be beat. Great looking car.

That is a really sharp color combo. Goes good with the ten-holes. Examples like that I'd love to see against the backdrop of everything that was on the road back then.
Man, that would be a fun road trip and money well spent if i had the cash. car looks killer.
Man that's clean
That car is not far from me, if anyone is interested.
I would be if I hadn't already spent my money on another 4 eye. Just waiting for it to get here.......
Wish they posted more pictures.
Flipping attempt: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercury-Cougar-XR-7-Sedan-2-Door-1986-mercury-cougar-xr-7-sedan-2-door-2-3-l-/111585427472?forcerrptr=true&hash=item19fb028010&item=111585427472&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
Very nice car but for 7 large I'd expect an unbroken headlight bezel and the timing plug to be there. Just sayin
Someone's just trying to churn a quick profit.
Saw something similar on my local craigslist. 86 xr7 turbo, very clean auto, 1 owner, $1500, with all manuals from ford. Called about it for a friend who wanted one, talked to the original owner, but the car was sold. 2 weeks later it was pimped out on all my "local", I do a 300 mile search craigslist. Same text, new pics tho and asking $4000. I called and ripped the guy a new asshole. But then again I'm just that kinda guy
-i have got the guy way down on the price of this thing. if he got it for what it was in the ad 4 months ago, he's still making a large profit. i dont want to go over wHAT i've already offered, as according to research, is the HIGH end of value. but he wants me to bump it $200 more. what do you guys think???
$200 means nothing if it's exactly what you want, especially over the lifetime of ownership.
Don't forget to include the price of getting it (your time, gas, etc) plus the price of registering it in your state. Add all that in addition to the purchase price and that's what the car cost to purchase - not just the amount you pay him.
And if the total is say $7K and you pay roughly a 50% total tax rate, you have to earn $14K to purchase that car. If you pay a total of about 30%, you have to earn $10K in order to afford $7K.
That's the 2nd time its been on eBay. He bought it from someone on ebay late last year. I remember seeing it on eBay and his feedback to the seller. Those are the previous eBay sellers pictures. I noticed he dropped the price by a grand.
He bought it for less than $4250 three months ago:

-sweet . thanks. I had decided to stand where i'm at rather than keep adding. esp with old pics....
Either looking for a quick profit, which is his prerogative, or he discovered an expensive problem shortly after purchase.
Looks like its back on EBay.
-pass..........
