Title: Question about rouge wire....
Post by: OfficerJoseph on May 22, 2014, 02:33:05 AM
I'm wrapping up a GT-40 intake swap on my '88 Sport.

There is one wire that I am a little confused on where it goes. Its a single wire with a connector on the end that runs along the drivers side fuel injector loom and down the front of the engine behind the power steering pump. It came un-plugged while I was moving the wiring harness around and I can't seem to figure out where it goes.

I'll be able to take a picture of it in the light tomorrow but I was just curious if anyone knew where it went...

oil sender is white red
low oil sensor is dark blue/light green
coolant temp sender is red/white

there is an unused single wire but two port connector near / within the hvac harness.  this connector is very flat and about 3/16'' thick and about 5/8'' wide.

double check all the vast amount of connectors along / downstream of the ignition coil and along the battery.

Probably the oil pressure sender wire. If not it could be for the low oil level sender, if equipped.
