Title: Wiper motor wiring
Post by: mikeapt on May 01, 2014, 05:27:18 PM
My wiper motor only works when the black and purple wire is off the motor and it only works on slow and intermittent. I know the wiper motor, switch, and circuit breaker are good but I am not sure what to do at this point. Any ideas? Its a 1986 Base Tbird with the 5.0. Thanks in advance. Mike

I think the switch inside the wiper motor needs to be checked and cleaned. It looks like you have stuck it in "parked" position. If my memory serves, it's just a copper contact.
When a high speed is selected, current flows through the white wire. Check it too. There might be an issue in your wiper switch or wiper motor connetor.
