bump
I see that this is for a full console style, were those with the wood-grain hard to find?
Willing to separate? I've been looking for the stereo bezel since 2007!
The wood grain was the standard look on the 85/86 LS cars as far as i know. Same for 87/88 i presume. Rare? I don't think so......uncut stereo opening, rare. The woodgrain dash cars i do not think had the full console option, as for fitment, i would hope some of the others here can chime in.
The price is fair for the lot, i would prefer not to separate and get stuck with trim i don't need. Maybe someone else could split the deal with you? Let me know, these are tough to find uncut.....
The center stack/stereo opening panel you have is for a full console car. It was available in woodgrain when a full console was ordered on certain optioned 87-88 Cougar LS and Thunderbird LX cars.
Thanks for clearing up....... :)
my 85 which was a Base with the 5.0, had the full center console with the wood grain bezels.
I could split the deal with someone...if someone needs the lower pieces. I cant use them because i don't have a power antenna or ride control. The main speedo bezel looks to be missing the same tabs as mine does, but yours looks a lot less sun faded than mine, so i might be interested in that as well, it is a very reasonable price.
The Speedo bezel is perfect, all tabs intact. no fading. If i didn't have the XR-7 with the fake carbon fiber dash, this would go in my car.
The upper dash/speedo bezel should have two little screw tabs below the clock area. It looks like the one you have is missing the tabs. They are easily broke and it's not uncommon to find them missing. It took me forever to find one with those tabs in tact. It's on my Thunderbird right now.
Did not know that........i stand corrected then.......ty.
well if they are mint, I will jump on this opportunity. As for the lower pieces, like I said I have no use for those, if they could be excluded from the deal, and sold to someone who needs them.
Oddly enough those little tabs break off so cleanly that you can't even tell they were there. They are so fragile that they will snap off with the surround screwed to the dash even if the surround has never been removed before.
Not to take away from the parts you are selling. They are very clean and the radio surround in wood grain is very hard to find. I have spares of these already or I'd probably be buying what you have.
