The EFI turbo is the same thing that is on my 84 Turbocoupe Dash. So I would guess that is what the base car is.

I agree, i doubt its a variation in design or build. Just a specially badged TC for the Racing Promotion. Maybe they were raffling the car after the race and needed a gimmick to sell tickets. They could have just double sided the emblem to the dash.

Got some additional pics from the former owner, she does not know much history on the car. I would guess its a one off made for track use, endorsed by Ford, but not specifically an edition. Its a 84 TC Auto trans car, rare in its own right. Would have to say thats a rare combo. Looks to be in sad shape, went to a new owner this week, i wonder if it gets restored or parted.
Note the missing fender badge in one pic and the sticker in the side window as well. Matches the dash emblem.
