Title: Dash cluster cover plate
Post by: V8Demon on March 29, 2014, 10:43:04 AM
Anyone have luck getting rid of haze on the supposed-to-be-clear cover plate that goes in front of the dash cluster?  I used a mildly abrasive wax on mine yesterday and it laughed at me.  I'm debating on picking up a headlight lens cleaning kit and giving it a shot.  This plastic seems softer though so I'm leery.

I have never tried this on the plastic so this is not a recommendation.  This is just how I clean headlights.  Buffing wheel, rubbing compound.  It will scratch it/clean it.  Then a coat of clear coat over it.

Meguiars Plastic X worked pretty good on mine. You could also try their Ultimate Compound followed by Plastic X. That has worked well for me on clear plastic before.

x-2. I had a nearly white lens that I was able to rescue using the plastic X.
