Title: Mercury Dealership
Post by: rodsterh on February 27, 2014, 11:59:24 PM
Anyone want a new Cougar? :D

This gentleman has tons of great car pictures.  Notice the sign is Mercury Lincoln, not Lincoln Mercury.

Rod, did you happen to see the DMC sign in the upper left window?  DeLorean Motor Cars

Out front: looks like an '83 LS with the TRX package and possibly the electroluminescent c-pillar emblems. I suppose dealerships would put the finest of the fleet out front for all to see.

Great photo.

Yea I saw that. Thought it was odd at a FLM dealership.

I agree on the TRX package and noticed another cat on the right.

Where is our time machine....

I'm kind of digging the Fox Continental next to the TRX equipped Cougar.

I thought Ford Dealerships sold the Delorean?  I remember in 84 when my parents bought a new Tempo, there were a couple of Deloreans at the Rusty Eck Dealership.

Don't recall that and it would be kind of odd considering John DeLorean had a background at GM. Last cars made were around 1982 but I honestly don't recall how or where the cars were sold.  I -thought- there were stand alone DeLorean dealerships?

Neat picture Rod.
Here is another one with four crisp new Cougars. Unfortunately it's not in color like yours.
Note that it also was a DeLorean dealership.

Very cool pic!

Interesting about the DeLorean sign..... maybe FLM was a sales channel for those cars?

Do you go over to Four Eyed Pride?  If so there is a topic on vintage (80's) dealerships, you should post the pic there!

If you don't do you mind if I post it?

I'm over there too, but not as often as here.

Go ahead, it's not mine. I swiped it from a Flickr page as we'll. ;)
