Title: Part # help
Post by: V8Demon on February 27, 2014, 10:31:33 AM
I can't seem to find this and hopefully some of you know how to do it better than I can.  Back in 2008 I installed the dual sun visors in my car I got from a Mercury Mountaineer in a salvage yard.  They look like the ones here, only in grey:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/91-92-93-94-FORD-EXPLORER-MAZDA-NAVAJO-RH-DOUBLE-SUNVISOR-NICE-TAN-/111203667639?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1993|Make%3AFord|Model%3AExplorer&hash=item19e4414eb7&vxp=mtr

A google search for Mountaineer ones turns up similar results, but they are the ones with the smaller mirrors..... I want the big mirrors like in the link.  Illuminated as well.
My driver side one developed a rip and I'd like to replace it.  Searches have turned up no good.  I was hoping someone could tell me what the Ford part # for these assemblies in grey was.

Thanks in advance!

I did a quick search @ fordparts.com and came up with 6 pages of sun visors for the '08 Mercury Mountaineer. It might be worth a look for you

The ones I am looking for are the early '90's style.  I installed them in 2008.  Funny enough I grabbed them from a 99, but apparently they were not original to 99....

Example of what I'm looking for:

Found it on Fordparts......  $159.  No thank you.  I'll keep hunting.
