Title: AOD floor shifter

Does anyone know where I can get a floor shifter for AOD?  I have one for a TC but apparently that's not going to work (and it doesn't have a handle) .  I went to pic n pull and took an hour pulling one out of Cougar only to find out they wanted to charge me $75 for it (including $7 for the AOD cable bracket).  It wasn't in very good shape anyway so I left it there.  It would be nice to finish out my center console instead of having a big hole in it and get rid of the column shifter.

The Turbo Coupe shifter is different than the 5.0 shifter.

They look about the same physically, but the shift detents are different.

I had to swap the TC shifter out for one out of a Sport, so I should have remembered to look to see which style it was.  That mistake is on me.

Yeah, AOD's have 6 positions, A4LD's have 7 positions, but a C3 also had 6, would one from a C3 work?

Yeah.  I have a TC shifter already.  Need the sport or Cougar AOD.  Bummer.

I found one!  I dismantled it from a junked sport. The handle was missing and the plastic part that indicates the gears looks like the PO had melted it in places with cigarette butts over the years and he had also had some coins jammed in the accordion part so the little louvers were bent.  I'm going to keep looking for just that piece for a while.
