Will a 87-88 window run gaskets work for a 86 or is there something different about them
I'd like to know too. I need a set for my 86 so I can seal it up.
Yea me too I got all the chrome for the windows off a donor car now I only lack a passenger corner lense an the window gaskets
I don't have that model of Bird, mine is an '88, but have wondered the same thing. I don't see why not. may have to drill some holes, but I would they you could swap them. of course, this opinion comes from no studying or time what-so-ever on this matter.
Well doesn't the 83-86 have different chrome around the windows or is that only the outer dew wipes different because I know that the 87-88 have a different quarter window from a 83-86 but manly everything else is the same cuz I think I my have a lead on a set of window channel seal out of a 88 fingers crossed
P.s an a good set of inner dew wipes
Here's the only thing I could find being made for the 83-86 cars. Get out your big boy wallet, it isn't cheap.

Well the lead came through got a real nice (need to be cleaned) window run stripping an really nice inner dew wipes I feel like i be won the lottery :) but my wallet went into bankruptcy :( there worth it
The 83-86 door glass is set in as the 87-88 is more flush with the door. I would think that would cause an issue and say no it won't work. But I haven't tried so who knows?
Well I got the door tracks an all what would be different the outer dew wipes an chrome trim I really want to be sure I can use them before I desasemble the old ones cuts they would most likely just fall apart as soon as I started pulling them out of the channel
I think the 87/88 are molded into a metal surround. The rubber corner at the top of the door is part of it. The 86 cougar I have has a different style of weatherstrip, the normal stuff that just gets put in a channel. I don't think the 2 are compatible.
