Title: Weak Takeoff

I just got this 88 turbo coupe this doesnt even want to take off at the light once turbo kicks in its fine. What can i do i checked timing, plugs are good.Thanks for any advice.

They are dogs out of the hole unless you slip the clutch a bit to build some boost off the line.

Go to the sites I posted in your other thread.....there's info here.  Not too many TC guys here...

well you are trying to move a 3600 lb car with a 4 cyl. Until the turbo kicks in, its not going to move that well.

Bring it to 3500 and drop the clutch. That should take care of your launch issues. :) Anyway, it's called boost lag. Until the turbo kicks in, you're just driving a boat with a low compression fourbanger.
