Still looking for this hinge. If we can stay around $45, I'd like to get both. Bracket material isn't important as long as the pins are still intact, and they aren't twisted or have damaged threads. Thanks.

seems like you need a insert "PEMNUT",, that will fix the thread issue if thats the only issue you have

That's the only issue. The threads are stripped on the driver side. I replaced the passenger side already. What is that "PEMNUT" you speak of? I was trying to keep the factory style bolts, but open to options.

"think threaded rivit,,,

you insert it into the hole and when it is tighted,, it sorta spreads out crimping itself in place.

they do sell similar types at lowes in the hardware drawers, i think lowes calls them insert anchors.

actually,, what you will find readily available just about anywhere is a "JACK NUT"

you just insert it in the hole, then add your bolt and it anchors itself as well.

now you have just replaced the old threads with new ones.
you just need the right size jack nut that fits your bolt.

I will check into that. I will replace the hinge when I can get one, but until then, that seems like a good option. Thanks.

Sounds like a plan. There was another guy on NATO who said he had some, but I haven't got any idea when he can get them, and I need them as soon as I can get them so I can get my trunk lid tight and to seal correctly.

just tell me how much. They shouldn't cost much to ship. They really aren't that big.  Thanks again. I appreciate your help. If you need anything, I'll do my best for you.

There's no deal to step on. Just trying to keep the costs down though. You know how it is. LOL. I only need the hinge, not the rest of the mounting structure. The passenger side I swapped in had the pin (pivot pin/ retains the actual hinge in place in the car) and that was all. That worked great. It's actually not very big.
