I was Wondering If You Had Any suggestions On A 2006 Fusion Sel That The Alarm Keeps Going Off On. The Headlights Started Randomly Flashing As Well.
Pressing The Unlock Button On The Key Fob Stops It Momentarily But Then It Will Start Up Again. The Info Dash Does Not Show Any Doors Being Ajar.
Unplugging The Alarm Module Behind The Headlight Switch Made The Headlights Stop Flashing.
Currently I Am Disconnecting The Battery To Get The Lights And Alarm To Stop.
I Apologize For The Caps, My Mobile Browser And The Forum Is Not Getting Along.
Codes? Dealer's service department? Google?
Has anything been done to the car's wiring/electronics, that you're aware of?
Unlock it with the actual key. It worked on a few others that had that issue
1) No
2) I'm sure the dealer could fix it, but I would prefer to not take it to the dealer.
3) I've spent the last few days searching Google. There are several threads across the different fusion forums but they all end with "Good luck". Lol
To the best of my knowledge there has nothing been done to the car 'a electrical system. I purchased the car a week ago with the intentions of flipping it.

Thanks I will give that a try!
It will be Friday before I see the car again. In the mean time If anyone else has any ideas to share I would greatly appreciate them.
Unlocking with the key will NOT prevent perimeter anti-theft from going off, it will cause it. I know of no alarm box behind the dash, perhaps you have an aftermarket alarm/remote start. If that is the case I suggest you remove it. At the dealer I have LOTS of trouble with these, I probably have a full 5 gallon bucket of them under my bench.

I was hoping you would reply.
This is the module I unplugged. It is located directly behind the headlight switch.
I'm all for removing it as long as the key fob will still unlock the car.
I feel like it would be OK to unplug the module and by pass the associated kill switch.
That is one of ours, but it's security only. It's an add-on, too. As far as I know, only fleets buy these, and I've had trouble with them. Pull it. The remote functions are through the SJB, and will still work. This only expands security by adding a vibration sensor. Kill it with fire.
Alarm systems; so nice, but such a pain the excretory exit ramp to deal with when they SNAFU.
Thank f*ck I've never had to mess with a bad one. (And I'm knocking on my oak desk with both sets of knuckles as soon as I finish this sentence!)
Foe thanks for your help!
Do you have any suggestions as to how to remove it. When I unplug it the car doesn't start. I felt like I would find it spliced into the ignition wire in the steering column and that I would just have to reconnect the factory wiring and be good to go.
What I found is a wire spliced into a factory wire that was still connected.

That's the horn. You need to remove it's whole harness. The circuit that triggers the starter will be cut, and a wire connected to each side. You'll have to remove the system, and reconnect where it's cut.
That sounds like a blast lol!
I really appreciate your help foe!

Is that what you meant!? LoL Great news is It's fixed.
Reconnected where they spliced into the ignition wire then unplugged the module.
Foe I greatly appreciate your help!
Glad I could be of help.
