I have a patient I take care of at the hospital from time to time. Her husband and I talk while theya re there. She usually stays for a few days each time. He was a Ford mechanic years ago. Anyway, he asked me yesterday if i wanted a few parts he had in a bag. I said sure. Nt having any idea what they were, but why not?
He brought me the paper bag today. In it was the following...
94.2 inch serpentine belt
2 a/c pressure switches
BAP/MAP sensor
ignition module for the distributor
two relays
2 sets of steel core rubber coated valve cover gaskets
1 5.8 one piece steel core rubber oil pan gasket
8 19# fuel injectors
All of the parts are brand new, all of them genuine Ford parts. Not bad. I thanked him and even offered to pay him something for them. He insisted that i take them, he had no use for them anymore. Sweet.
Sweet little score
Considering it was all free, and simply because he was happy with the care his wife got, I certainly can't complain.
Nice!
Any idea how old the parts are?
It's amazing how nice people are when you show them a little genuine fellow feeling. Especially the older ones, that can remember a time when all contact was personal.
The parts except for the a/c switches and injectors are in the original Ford packages.
