Title: Can a non moonroof headliner work in a moonroof car?
Post by: Tbird-fanatic on October 11, 2013, 11:52:23 PM
Ive pretty much decided my backing is to far gone to recover. I have some lines on some non moonroof headliners, but before I go getting one. Im trying to figure out if it will work. I do have my headliner(in shiznitty shape its in) as a template for modding a non moonroof one if it will work. Thanks for the help guys!!

I've done it on my old 88 tbird but on a dealer installed moonroof, basically I took the visors down installed the front and back and started small with the hole and slowly cut my way to the edges of the moonroof trim, than I used small vacuum line to tuck the headliner into the moonroof trim.  It looked really good when I was done, best part was the headliner was $6 from the u-pull-it..

How different was the dealer installed moonroof compared to a factory moonroof?
