Title: dual snorkel air cleaner housing
Post by: White85GS on October 02, 2013, 08:39:28 PM
Would there be any power gains at all if I put one on, or would it's only real benefit be aesthetics? I know that I'd have to relocate the washer fluid tank.

I want it to breathe better if it can, dual snorkel and dual exhaust.

I think you are right on the money and if I was you I would find a nice decal to put on the air cleaner lid too, they are available in reproduction. Also looks very nice when the lid is chromed. Myself I like the look of factory or what should have been factory. You could also get a taller air filter to give a slight gap 1.5 or 2 inches and run a 87/88 TC hood for more air induction. Either way the dual snorkel that ford ran on the carbed fox stangs was way cool. I say go for it.....

Minimal power gains...the biggests limitations being the stock TBI setup....but it will look cool...go for it.  With the dual snorkal lid and small exhaust upgrade may get u 10-15hp....after that the factory stuff has no idea what u r doing...if done for cheap...sweet.
