Where these rare or what? what did they come on? Friend had a 83 base T-Bird with red interior but it had white seats and panels.

In 1983, for both the Thunderbird and Cougar, there were four interior color options that were listed as Opal with another color and red was one of those colors. This interior trim option was not available after 1983 so for the aero birds it was a one year only trim option which probably makes it somewhat of a rare find today.
