Howdy folks! I recently rescued a 1988 Thunderbird V6 white with blue interior. I am waiting for it to be towed to my house so I can assess it and start working on it. Here starts a new adventure!
looks good!
It's hard to see the age and wear in the picture but it's there. I have no idea if it runs yet. After swapping a good battery it will not start. It's not getting fuel as there is no fuel under pressure at the fuel valve at the throttle body. I poured a bit of fuel in the throttle body and it acts like it wants to start but I cannot maintain constant fuel for it to catch on and run. I am leaving it all alone until I can get it towed home to access everything. Probably needs a new fuel pump if not a complete pump and sending unit.
Dosint look like its Ben sitting long the weeds have not taken over lol
Looks to be I'n decent shape
Welcome to the Forum.
Have fun with your new toy & keep us posted with your progress with more pics.

My biggest dilemma may be finding good headlamps and a LH inner parking lamp for it.
Nah, keep your eye out on this forum in the classifieds or ebay. They are still out there.
Hi and welcome!
Your car has me suddenly wondering what a pearl white Thunderbird would look like???
Do you have a thread on your projector headlights? I am kind of interested.
Oh and i am hoping to do a very white pearl white.. Not that creamy colored pearl you see on most cars.

Here is the link to a much longer thread that I started earlier in the process.
Great job on making those but that looks too involved for me. I may consider installing a set of H4666 sealed beams in an adjustable mounting bracket from some other donor car. I hate to switch to an early four-eye nose. It might just have to look like an older Tbird with the headlight doors open for a while until I can find suitable original parts.
What I am really excited about is being able to do sequential turn signals with the 88 model taillamps!
