How do u adjust tps on 88 tc
you don't.
if it doesn't fall within .5-1.2 volts at idle and hit 2.5v above base reading, it is bad.
use a round chainsaw file.
make the mounting holes oblong.
the original early TPS's and i think to this day the Turbo Coupe throttle position sensors are eliptical,, this was / is for adjustment.
aftermarket units rarely have this feature. I believe the mid 80's ford escorts still show up with this feature.
anyway, when i need to go cw or ccw, i make sure to make the mounting holes sorta oval just for this reason so i can dial in approx .8 to .9V on the green wire to the black wire and from the green wire directly to chassis ground.
+1
The TC's have adjustment in the tps like mustangs and others you got to open the holes a little
I just did this on my 88 TC but ended up having to replace it but still had to set the voltage
