Title: 2003 Ford Escape brake light fuse.....
Post by: vinnietbird on September 12, 2013, 07:25:15 PM
Can somebody tell me where exactly it's located? I've looked on the interweb, and can't find it. I JUST ordered an owner's manual, but it would be nice to be able to find it asap. I wasn't sure where to post this since it wasn't Fox related. So, anybody?

Thanks Tom. I had a good feeling you may know that answer. I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning and let you know if that was my problem. No brake lights, no signals, shifter interlock on the column isn't working and the hazard lights are not working.

I'm off to work. I'll check in later this evening when I get home around 8:00 tonight.

Tom, I found a diagram, and the two big fuses look to be F2.26 and F2.25. I want to make sure we're on the same page.

I can't seem to find a list of what each fuse does.

All data says 2.24 Hang tight i will pull it up again!!

Checked AGAIN it is an ATC fuse labeled pedal positioned brake. It should be the last fuse in the column. It has constant non keyed battery so it should not be hard to find it. Good luck!!

Check your owners manual!!

Fuses can be checked quickly with a test light.
If it lights on one side and not the other, it's bad.

Sorry for the late reply. There were three dead fuses. Swapped them out, all is good. Everything works. It does have a slight rough idle. I put 5 gallons of gas in it, new filter, and the plugs look good. I'll run codes and go from there. It's really coming together, and will make a good first car for the youngest.
