Something for every one to thinking about.
Dont mater if your handy man, commercial driver, or some Joe helping a buddy.
Make sure you secure load.
I say this why u might ask? Well pics are worth a 1000 words. 2 feet to left has a new meaning.
And thank god i didn't have my son in the car!
No this is not a racing stripe. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/1237592_605296079522554_452499051_n.jpg (http://"https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/1237592_605296079522554_452499051_n.jpg")
Only thing that stopped it was my cage! https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1174717_605296069522555_252062078_n.jpg (http://"https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1174717_605296069522555_252062078_n.jpg")

Now u can see why i say Secure your Load.
Also note i'm a commercial driver so hate seeing this .
On side note i'm still mostly ok.
Have a nice day
dude!! Glad you're ok!
Wow that sucks
Pretty scary
Man, glad your ok!!
Looks like you had some floor work to do anyway.
Glad you're OK.
Well were i'm from rust is a life style and this car has seen every winter. But floors were still solid.
The pics of back of the car look like its rust bucket but its surface rust that will clean up with wire wheel.
So i guess i'm at the point were i start pulling the car apart again. But this is the last time i'm doing this.
As wife has said b4 go take care of the Mistress
Maybe I'm a little dumb, but how did this happen?
guy with pickup and trailer had bunch of wood fall out the 4x4 and few 2x4s went under car. I made it half way onto shoulder lane to try and avoid what i could. The 4x4 skipping on ground touched the under of car and as soon as that happens it ether go right under or get stabbed into ground. In my case it stabbed ground and came right into car. Lucky i got half onto shoulder or it might have come up the driver side. I'm still finding more damage under the car.
I am sure you know that person is liable for your repairs on your car and his insurance co should be advised. Securing loads is something not taken lightly. YOU COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY KILLED. Thank GOD you walked away not hurt.
Trust me i know the person can be held liable and he would have if he would have stopped. Flip side to this is i'm a commercial driver so i know laws and rules.
If he would have stop odds are i would be in jail for knocking out of him. To say i was a tad pissed would be an understatement.
I see or hear of wheels coming off trucks or people that lose part of a load and it bothers how dumb some people are.
This one hit hard as my family is taking this worse then me.
Mostly because i have my son in that seat when i have the car out.
DUDE as an over the road diesel shop i hear all the HORROR story's. We just got a bulletin from the state claiming tread separation on recaps cause thousands of collisions on the interstate every day in this country. You can see all the pieces all over the interstate. Bottom line is you are OK and thank the LORD you were not hurt and your loved ones were not with you. Say a little prayer to thank the LORD. Be safe Tom!!
We no longer use Recaps on the drivers. And naturally never on the STEERS
Tom i know what u mean. I never run Recaps on my truck.
I have also seen and heard Horror story's
Any driver with any kinda years knows not to use recaps
the freeways are littered with them lol
But 2x4's strap your stuff down lol
