I have a 83 console with coin tray, I now have a 5speed in the car, can I use a 83 to 84 only shifter bezel or can the 85-86 bezel work also?

It should work but the mounting holes and contours are a bit different, on the 83-84 and 85-88 I know this because I got my console from an 86 but my coin tray from an 84 and the tray fits in but is a little off.
