Title: 1990 T-Bird SC wont start was told it was air leak from the inter cooler

well hi every one i bought a 1990 Thunder Bird SC 2 years ago has been my personal project but every thing is in place exept i cant find the inter coolers spacers and seals (gaskets) i live in Puerto Rico and these parts are very hard to get  but is it true if the intercooler is not sealed correctly it wont start im lost and that is the last thing i need to finish it so i can play with it any advise will be appreciated :birdsmily:

run codes and see what pops up.

some mass air cars will run like  with any intake leak.

Key off, disconnect mass air, attempt restart.  Smooth restart = unmetered air (air leak between air meter and throttle body) or bad mass air meter.  Not smooth start = Run codes.

with the key forward, do you have fuel squirt out reall  good at the fuel test fitting if you poke the needle in ?

while cranking and a spark plug stuck up inside the wire that comes from the coil  , and the spark plug grounded correctly, do you have a **blue** or White spark?
