Title: Jack Points for Rear axle removal
Post by: bondocougar on June 23, 2005, 12:11:39 PM
Any work requiring the rear of the car up, I've always used the rear axle or pumpkin for the jacking and jack stands.

Now if I have to take the whole rear off, whats a good place to put the stands?  The frame rail area (where the stock jack fits) tends to crush if the jackstands are put there...

Thanks

Right in front of the lower control arms.  Always shake the car before getting under it, better to fall without you under it.

Have Fun
