Same here. When I bought my first one new it came with the gray and when I decided to try to find one just like it last year it took a while to find what I wanted. I just couldn't live with that red interior.
Don't forget it was the 1980's...that's why Disco Red (porno red?) interiors are so common. One can't assess yesterday's fashion by today's trends. Don't you still have Avocado green appliances in the kitchen?

I actually love the red interiors. You can't get anything like that in a car interior any more. Both my Thunderbird and Mark VII have gray leather interiors. This Cougar has more of a "wow" factor when you open the door. The only thing that would make it better would be red leather.
My fiance doesn't like that Cougar, mostly because of the red interior. She said no :rollin:.
