Title: TC vs 5.0 FPR
Post by: Dougy_Fresh on July 05, 2013, 03:17:31 PM
Simple question, Are they the same?

my TC has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it and I'd like to use it on a 5.0 if possible. mounting pad looks the same? Seems like I heard they work opposite each other

Better watch the FUEL RAIL!!! IT WILL CRACK with an aftermarket regulator on a 2.3. I have a mod for this issue!!! Both engines have a 3 bolt mounting  and the valve is the same. BUT a turbo car uses a regulator that also works with vacuum as well as pressure.

Note a turbo car uses a RISING RATE REGULATOR an NA does not!!

Tom is right I should have clarified...

Aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator are the same for the 5.0/2.3T.

I have read that the fuel rails can crack...never had an issue...but what good 2.3T guy doesn't have spares... :-)
