Title: Sequential Turn signals
Post by: lowcat on June 21, 2005, 07:56:04 PM
I have had sequetial turn signals installed on my car for almost a year now with no problems until now. The right turn signal is not working properly. Only the first two lights turn on, and the outer one doesn't come on at all. I looked on the module and the red LED doesn't light up either. Does this mean that the module is going  :toilet: ?

Did you try adjusting it (assuming it's one of mine)?

Yes it is one of yours. I did try to adjust it but the red LED still won't come on. It worked fine on Monday and then today the passenger side outer light just stopped working. I replaced the bulb as well so I know it isn't burned out.

Try turning the trimmer for that LED counter-clockwise until the light comes on - it might take several turns, but eventually the red LED should start to flash.

It may flash at the same time the amber LED does (no delay), but it should flash. Once flashing, if there is no delay and you try to adjust it clockwise to make a delay and it stops flashing again, the trimmer may have failed (instead of acting as a trimmer it's acting as a switch). If you can't get it to flash at all, even after turning the trimmer a dozen full 360-degree turns, the relay may have failed. Either way, it's covered under the lifetime warranty if it isn't working and can't be adjusted into working. Email me or PM me (preferrably email as I'm likely to get that sooner than a message here)

I got it to work. I tried adjusting it the way you said and it works now. Thanks for your help.
