Title: Anyone ever look into custom 17" snowflakes?
Post by: Quietleaf on June 22, 2013, 07:00:38 PM
I'm sure they would cost a LOT to design and fab, but I was wondering if anyone ever investigated the possibility. That would let us run 13" brakes while still having a stock-ish look. I wouldn't know where to even begin to investigate, but I'm curious as to what it would actually cost.

No, the 16's are hard enough to keep clean! I surely wouldn't really more of that atrocity to try to clean....  Lol :)

I think your best bet for a stockish appearance and 13", 5 lig brakes is the 94-98 Mustang Cobra wheel. It looks stockish and I think it's one of the best factory wheels from Ford. I've considered doing a 5 lug swap just to run these wheels.

I do like the Snowflakes. I think it would be really expensive to have custom 17" snowflakes made. I'm not sure how well the wheel would scale up from 16" to 17".

Yup. I'd sell my Bullitts and Nitto 555's for a bare set of those Cobra wheels.

Only thing is..I need 2 sets now...

It is a shameless plug but I have a full set of the Cobra wheels with 245/40/17's on them that have about 1,000 miles of wear.  I have them stacked up in the garage and did not really think about selling them but if someone was really interested I might part with them.  I am in the Houston area but headed to Tulsa, OK here shortly on a company move if that puts them closer to anyone without shipping them.

I still think there is only one option if I HAD to run 17"
