well, i installed the rear springs from a 99 mustang in the rear today, it actually brought the car down to near level. i can put a 3 foot level on top of the door mld and its still got just a slight tic up in the rear, just right. thay are so jacked up from the factory. I like it now.

looks good these cars sit way to high in the rear
Good height!!!
99 Mustang? Cool. I gotta get some of those. I've got 01 GT springs in the front now and that brought the front down perfect, but the rear is WAY too high now.
Yours is the exact opposite of mine, mine sits front high and thats with new rear springs and shocks with old stuff up front.
not sure i agree on this, the lowering pics do look great.
i find it not so appealing when you see some cars going down the road though with the rear end wayyyyy low because of rear seat passangers or perhaps there are just groceries in the trunk.
a car should be capable of being loaded down "within reason" without effecting the rear ride height.
on out 20th coug and 88bird sport, we added those dog bone rubber spacers to the rear coil springs just to get the rear level with the front.
ive never considered lowering all the way around though, i suppose id does work out well when your never off concrete with your ride.
i cant say what it will look like loaded. i just drive this car back and forth to work really, it never carries anyone but me. my wife hates it, says it rides too ruff. but she said that even before i lowered it!
I have the same springs in the rear. I used a coil-over sleeve kit up front.
So its just 99' stang springs and stock turbocoupe shocks or?
You can use the mustang springs with the the stock shocks.
Are they gt or 6 cylinder springs...is there a difference?
great looking car by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! top shelf stuff there!
yes so far all i have is stock turbocoupe suspension, with 99 mustang v6 springs in the rear. i have the mustang front springs, but it would make the car too low for the 225-60-16 tires, i would have to drop a size
looks good

That is a clean nice car!!!!
Looks good!
Do stock shocks work fine with those springs? I use air shocks on the back, and wonder if I would be able to keep them.
my car still has the original E7S rear shocks on it. seems to work fine, i havent noticed any bottoming out yet
I'm in. Looking for springs.
the springs i used were just some plain old v6 1999 mustang springs i had left over when i lowered my mustang a few years ago. so you should be able to find some dirt cheap in the boneyard.
No Stangs around here.
I got mine on ebay
I just dropped an offer for some SN-95 Mustang convertible springs.
So since you can use v6 or v8 springs in the back. Can you run sn95 springs on the front? Asking because i have a lead on a nice set of v6 springs.
i have heard you can run the mustang springs in front, but it gets really low, probably have to run a tire under 26" tall.
I do have SN-95 springs up front. They work great, not too low. I have 255 40 17's up front, zero issues at all.
That is a perfect ride height, looks really nice!
The 99 stangs have a lot of good parts to rob if you ever find one at a pick a part. The 4r70w trans from a 1999 and up V6 Mustang is a good trans to put behind a 5.0. I also love the dash in those cars.
Inspired, I went to LKQ today and picked up a pair of 03 Mustang rear springs. $32.25 out the door, up to the shop and...

The front looks higher, but it's all in your head. The front tires are 3 sizes smaller (temporarily) so the wheel well looks higher, it's just less full.
2001 V8 springs front (new), 2003 V8 springs rear (used).
How's the ride quality with the lowered rear?
The spring rate is about the same, so I couldn't really tell; except I didn't feel like I was going to slide forward out of my seat anymore.
It rides a little firmer with the mustang rears, i know what you mean about wondering if it was too low in the back, but the wheel wells are smaller in the rear so its an illusion, i put a 4 foot level on my body side mldgs, and it still had a slight rake towards the front
My SN-95 vert springs should be here Monday.
Drove the car more than just straight today, all I can say is that a slightly stiffer, lower rear as worth at least as much as a slightly stiffer lower front. Cornering much better.
The V6 94-04 rear springs are a linear rate, and not progressive, so you might be feeling that. I'd have to dig up the numbers, but I don't recall the overall spring rate being any higher on the V6 stuff, just not as soft initially.
