Title: O2 sensor harness
Post by: 5.0thunderbird on March 17, 2013, 10:14:10 AM
I need to extend my O2 sensor wires and I want to know if the ones for the mustang work. Here's the link http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-o2-extension-harnesses.html

Yep, they work. Or just extend the wires in the harness for free.

Do you just use the same gauge wire and solder it?

That's what I did. Pulled the harness 9easy stuff), lengthened the wires the appropriate length, soldered them and used heat shrink over that. Added new wire covering material, done.

I need new O2 sensors anyway, so I just bought the ones with the longer wires and plugged them in.  No cuts/no splices.
