Looks like for one side, passenger side, he says in description that they are no longer made. I asked him couple question waiting on return, might get it.
They don't make them anymore. It will be a long time before you see another one.
The nice thing about the 87-88s is that the dew wipes never go bad. They're made of of something that doesn't seem to rot like the 83-86 cars.
Mark VIIs have the same style dew wipes as the 83-86 Thunderbirds/Cougars. The ones on my Mark are bad.
I respectfully beg to differ. ;)
I've seen 1987-88 trim crack just as bad as the earlier trim. It's sad to see. And there is NO replacement for the dew wipes themselves, since they're integrated. Only solution is complete replacement.
At least with the 1983-86 trim, the dew wipes are separate and you can reuse the trim.
Really? I've never seen cracked up 87-88 dew wipes, even on junkyard cars. Perhaps I've just been lucky? The ones on my Thunderbird are minty fresh.
can someone explain what the purpose of the notches are.do the notches face towards the ground when installed ?
thinking of buying..............is this a fair price ?
the parts bird I had a couple years ago had cooked dew wipes cracked and chunks missing. mine on the other hand, have never really seen the heat and sun much
If I'm not mistaken, I believe these are for a vent window car hence the notch to clear the vent pillar post. My parts books aren't easily accessible right now or i could verify that by the part number.
thanks,if and when you get the time, could you check ?
here is a vent window pic for you the notch doesn't seem as big as the one on ebay

Eric's Cool Cats site is a very good source for many part numbers. :D
It looks like the the part number for the vent window cars has a suffix of "B" and non-vent window cars have a suffix of "A".
