So at my college, I noticed a little favoritism towards two certain type of vehicles for the closest avaible parking. As noticed, I do not agree. I think they should have to do the most driving and park further out in order to do the most good for the environment if they really cared about it.

I think any kind of assigned parking is ignorant. Those hybrids and LEVs are no more "green" than a well tuned and properly maintained late '80s/early '90s vehicle, given the toxins in those batteries....
And those hippies who think that plugging a car into an outlet every night in the garage is cleaner than an internal combustion engine are also sadly mistaken. That electricity comes from somewhere, mostly coal and nuclear. Talk about long term harmful...I think spent uranium fuel rods last somewhere for several hundred thousand years at deadly radioactive levels.
You want clean fuel that comes from the environment, look into hydrogen.
There's so much bureaucratic stupidity, and I'm not even starting with the Hussein administration...it boggles the mind how f*cking stupid consumers can be.
Tell them your car produces zero emissions while it's parked there, so it qualifies.
Very Progressive....
Glad that mindset isn't allowed to persist here.
put a chevy logo on the grill while parked and tell them its a "hybrid"..... :-)
McCormick Place here Chicago has those signs in the parking garage.
