Yes' it's a 4 eyed car.
I don't see an advantage, other than looks. Most of the air that goes into the radiator comes under the bumper. There's a lip that mounts to the underside of the bumper on our cars...some of the guys here have even used the mach 1 chin spoiler from the New Edge mach Stangs, and trimmed down the ends a little.
Either way, the i/c will get more air through it if it's down low, than it will if it's directly in front of the radiator. Regardless of what grille is on the car.
