i was tinkering around a little while ago, typically when i remove connector like this i tend to ease it up with a stubby flat head screw driver to help it along and up. I really dislike just yanking on connectors... perhaps thats why this clip is split so you can do **just that.
well, i inserted myflat head from the side to kinda get under the leading edge of the clip and heard an electrical noise inside the switch. I pull out like WTF!,, upon closer examination,, there are exposed contacts that i was apparently shorting out or bonding together with my flat head screwdriver.
dono.. i was kinda set back by this and why ford would do such a thing.
