There's a place in Mexico that makes them. I have a set of inners and outers from them. Nice pieces, but haven't installed them yet. Can't remember the name of the place. The lights run somewhere around $35 a pair.

At this point, if it's China, Mexico, or whatever, I'll take it if they will make parts for our cars. Nobody in the lower 48 seems interested....except us here.

Its not that they are not interested, it is that they have pretty high setup costs prior to a production run, but no guarantee that they will sell a single pair in a year, thus is a pretty risky business proposition.  Combine that fact with the fast that the labor costs for production facilities here make their overhead higher, yet most consumers shop with their wallets and rarely take into consideration where something is made... yet turn around and complain when they see themselves, their friends, family members or neighbors get laid off and their jobs moved overseas.  It is our fault, we caused it.  The sooner we all recognize this, the sooner we can begin to do something about it.

Capitalism ruined this country.

OP, if you still have them in a week or so, I'll take 'em, for real.

Bottom line .......I needed lights, I can't wait til the world does a 180 degree turn to buy them. You gotta get what you need where you can find it. Name one person here who hasn't bought SOMETHING made in another Country. Not one single car here is 100% "made in the U.S". If a Thunderbird owner here needed head lights (we don't have the luxury of Lincoln lights like the Cougar owners), and can get them brand new, from Mexico or Canada for $75.00 a pair. More than likely, most of us are jumping in with our checkbook and buying them. Apparently somebody in Mexico took the risk of making molds, and setting up operation to make them, and Cougar lights, and is actually selling them. I don't feel guilty for buying them from Mexico if they simply do NOT exist in the USA. I'm all about buying American products when possible, but, if it's not possible, what do you do?

Now, let's get these lights sold for this guy here.
