Title: Worn Console Plate Lettering? Here's the Fix
Post by: Kafer79 on November 08, 2012, 09:18:08 PM
I didn't find a hit on this topic using the search feature so here goes:

I have exhausted the web and salvage yards trying to find either an NOS or restoration quality console insert plate for my 1988 XR7.  I found an affordable and concours quality solution to this problem.  There's a business called Danco Lettering that sells replacement vinyl covers with the exact factory lettering/graphic for the power mirror, window, and power seat switch controls.  The cost is $10 plus shipping.

Here's the direct link:

A GREAT how-to with pictures can be found here:

Wow thanks so much, I was wondering where I would find new door ones, and the center one. :)

No, they are decals that applied to the existing aluminum plate.

The How-To in his second link will walk you through the recommended process of getting the best results when applying the decal.
