Title: I love insurance companies
Post by: TOM Renzo on October 20, 2012, 03:25:27 PM
These 6 piston calipers are brand new. They came from cars we repaired that were in collisions. As you can see the PORSCHE one is just scratched on the top. The AUDI one is perfectly GOOD. These are 2 right sides. I am waiting to get another left side either Porsche or AUDI. They are going on the midnighter with GIANT ROTORS. I think this will make the ultimate brake system for the 25 year old T BIRD. I JUST LOVE INSURANCE COMPANIES. WHEEEEEEE!!!!

These BREMBO units are 6 piston jobs and i love them. Notice the progressive piston sizing. Large to small for perfect braking!!!

Tom, a friend of mine has a Porsche 944 (owns 2, actually) and those cars are amazing in every facet. Definitely built with the true driver in mind.

What size rotor would those need? And how are your going to get a rotor that size onto a Thunderbird? Will the stock master cylinder be adequate for a triple piston? I'm just curious, those seem like some serious calipers.

That is in the works right now. But 14"is where we want to be. Loads of fabbing and a lot of sleepless nights. Time and lost sleep is next step for this mod. That is an honest an answer i can give right now. Planning on a truck master right now. Most likely a ford F250 or something like that. More research to begin!!

I'd have saved them too. If for nothing else, to resell for a few bucks' profit. :)
