Have a 5.0 HO on my stand. It has Edelbrock performer heads and a Bcam. It came out of my old stang with a T5.
How would this engine be swapped into my Cougar with a AOD and 3.73 rear gears?
Ive heard it isnt optimal, but it sure ran good in my stang. If I did a valvebody and better converter, would it do OK? I know it would have to feel much better than my lowpo 5.0 LOL
With a higher stall converter, governor, and shift kit you should be fine. Will it be optimal? No, but it will run pretty good :).
