Title: McDonald's, i have one simple ass question
Post by: jcassity on June 12, 2005, 09:52:49 AM
Call me buttstuff or just too darn observant but this is what i find on the bottom of a double quarter pounder box ,,,,*****while eating the double quarter pounder****

"Made with a minimum 46% post-consumer recycled content"

now just WTF is that suppose to mean!!!!!!!!!!!
if it just refers to the recycled paper container, why not just print something simpler.  i think there is something else to this story.

im not at all comfortable with the use of the word "content" or its position in the sentence.  Sounds like legal writing and someone is covering thier ass.

Most disturbing thing I've EVER seen at McD's:  Was at my local mickey dee's (quit eating there myself as well as other fast foods for the most part after watching "Supersize me") anyway there was a poster on the wall that had Ronald McDonald with a tear in his eye and the caption was "We'll miss you, Jim" or something.  NOT the happy-go-lucky Ronnie we all used to know.

I'm assuming "content" means that the boxes are made up of a veritable salad of old paper products.

As long as recycled doesn't start showing up on toilet paper and kleenex, I'm OK with it...

LOL all I can say is the description says "100% recycled toilet paper" not "toilet paper made from 100% recycled material" :)

Most things on the planet are recycled. One of the favored sayings I remember from earth science was their are a few molecules from Abraham Lincolns dead body being inhaled somewhere by somebody.
