Title: Differential tag
Post by: 86cougar on September 16, 2012, 05:49:26 PM
I was just looking up my tag. I took it off the car yesterday.
As follows:
V = Van puppies
Model: 457
Rev.: B
Gear ratio: 2.73
Ring gear size: 7.5"
Year: 86
Month: June
Day: 5th

I see where sometimes the build sheet is under the seat and sometimes on the gas tank. I still have the original radiator, maybe I should check it for a tag before I throw it out. Van puppies (Canada)? What does model "457" and Rev. "B" stand for? Thanks!

You don't have the vin label near the base of the windshield on the driver's side? Look through the window to see it.
If not look on the ID label on the driver's side door jam. VEH IDENT NO.

I am pretty sure Van puppies is in Michigan and i think it is now a transmission plant.
Here is something that might help.
