Post by: FirstBird on September 14, 2012, 11:13:06 PM
Anyone that has swapped in a 8.8 read end from a turbo coupe or the newer sn95 mustangs, what emergency brake line/brackets can I use? Only finding one on a turbocoupe...or can something else be made to work? Thanks

351 im trying to put a 351 in my car and want my driveline stuff to be in check so it does blow from some hard pulls, on the cool cats website it says you have to use the tc cables but maybe not, what year is your car?
Tom thats what ive heard too but its kind of hard to find a tc and id be going 5lug so i thought the stang cables may work.

I used MKVII cables
I did also when I had put a MKVII rear axle in. Worked great.

OP, just get a complete rear axle from a MKVII with the e-brake cables and you're set on the back. Just don't use the MKVII front set-up.

I used the TC cables on mine.  Got them new from OReillys for dirt cheap.

I used MarkVII cables, I think it was 90-91 style if I remember right.

By the way if you have POSI and do not have State inspection you can get away with hooking up the drivers side only. I am going to get a set of the new calipers with the new electric emergency brake setup. NO MORE CABLES!!!

I ordered new Turbo Coupe cables from Advance Auto when I did my 8.8 swap.
