Title: Poor shifting Anniversary!!
Post by: TOM Renzo on September 13, 2012, 09:11:02 PM
I know this is a ford site but i have been having shifting issues with my Anniversary CAMARO. Hard going i gear hard going in reverse ETC. And it was intermittent for a long time. I knew the 6 speeder was not the issue as i have never seen one do this that was not beat to hell. So last night i removed the slave cylinder ans took it apart. BINGO the cup was folded under on one side. In the 47 yeaes in this business i have never seen this kind of failure. A quick ride to the store and a new cup corrected the issue. Now for anyone that has removed a clutch master from a late model camaro knows it is no walk in the park. So i figured i would also do the DRILL MOD. So i drilled out the restrictor in the clutch fluid line assembled the cylinder and installed it and bled the system. Well it shifts like NIGHT & DAY. I can now power shift every gear and the tranny is a smooth as glass. Just wanted to share this with you as i have never seen a cup do this. Thanks

Drill Mod.  I drilled the end of the fitting with a .125 1/8 inch drill bit to eliminate the restriction. Works great!!!
