Title: What are your thoughts?
Post by: 86cougar on September 10, 2012, 09:29:22 PM
Just curious... I noticed that on a new Mustang anti-sway bar, It had split collar clamps to hold the bushings in place. I wonder if this would improve performance, add to the life of the bushings or shorten them? If it were an upgrade or an improvement, anyone could go to Home Depot and set this up on any vehicle.

Personally i do not think it matters one bit. But then again their may be a reason. What would it be is something i have to think about. But i am assuming it is just a design issue!!

First off, I thought I probably should have put this in the "Lounge" being it's just "food for though". Reason this made me think, is because I just replaced my anti-sway bar bushing and on one side the bushing was crushed as well as the end link bushings. I mean it's not like I run NASCAR doing circles in one direction all the time. I don't mean a little either, I mean smashed. They really were not that old, maybe two years old. I figure the only way to tell, is to try it. I'll probably put a couple on the outer sides and see how it goes.
