Title: fuel pump
Post by: 83TB on September 06, 2012, 07:55:46 AM
I took out the fuel pump out of tank it was all nasty for sitting for years, and notice there is a filter on the passenger side of car and I guess another type of pump?  Could someone tell me if I get a high volume pump in the tank can i by pass that one?  And how much of a high volume pump do I need to get to run a 302 or 351w?

IF you put a high flow pump in the tank you can eliminate the one on the rail.  I put a 190 LPH in my 5.0 car.

Check to make sure you have full 12 volts at the intank pump, Some of the mustang dual pump setups had a resistor inline to lower the voltage.
