Title: Upper Control Arm Bushings
Post by: 50tbrd88 on September 04, 2012, 04:43:43 PM
My upper control arm bushings on my TC 8.8 rear are toast and I was wondering what you guys recommended for my setup.  I have CHE upper and lower control arms, cut TC springs, Tokico blue shocks, and TC swaybars.  So my car is not a road racer by any means but does handle/launch a lot better than stock.  I'm fine with cheap as possible (stock style) but don't want to put stock ones back in if there is something better out there that will help compliment what mods I have already done.

I see some places like UPR (http://"http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-billet-spherical-bushings-8-inch.html") and Steeda have billet ones.  To you suspension guru's, would this be a worthwhile upgrade for me considering my car is purely street driven?

I would advise using either Delrin and Polyurethane or a hybrid like CHE uses.

on my rear uppers (axle end) I have some billet pieces...they were with the CHE arms already when I bought them from a member here. The rest are all poly. Handles like a train, but can be harsh if you think they're going to be as soft as stock stuff. Wimps should stick with gooey rubber. :)

I would probably fall into the wimp category, lol.  I think for 99% street duty the stock rubber ones will do fine for me.

I'll look into that, thanks.
