I think "smack" is a mild understatement. Before...I saw that......After...I saw that...Where's the "new"?

No I just got done stripping the other one about a hr. ago. The fuel tank and rear will go in first in about a week or 2. I probably won't get the motor and trans in till winter. I have the heads and intake for a 351 build so that might happen. If not The grey cats parts will go in it. I just picked a real good deal on a explorer, guess what it's black to. Now I got a black pu ,explorer and cat.I feel like I'm starting all over again. Well I am, just don't need to paint this one.

I'm thinking 351W for the Sport. The Black car looks great.....a little bit sinister. It sits a little high the way the Sport used to. I wish at times I had never lowered it.

Sorry to hear about your cat, may she rest in pieces.  The good news is that you didn't get hurt and as much as it may sound like heresy in this particular venue, the cat can be replaced, but your life can't.

It's a beautiful cat. I orginaly bought it from a member on here in jersey. But my buddy's wife saw it and she wanted it, So it never made it home with me. Bought it back for what I sold it to him for. It's sinister with a V6. I'm curios to see how it runs with the 373's in it. I don't think I'm going to put the front mach 1 springs back in that was in the grey one, they seemed a little to soft.

Wow Kitz sorry to see the Cougar twin to my car met such a gnarly end.  Glad you are OK.  And I 2nd what everyone else is saying about stripping everything you can!  I would hate to even hit a deer with my car.  The yards around here have crushed all the fox cars and I am afraid it would be difficult to find body parts easily.

Wow! I just saw this. I'm glad you're okay. I'm sorry to see that happened, it was a nice looking ride. It's cool you were able to replace it so fast. Have fun with the new one, it looks good too.

Man sorry to see that, I am new here, but I like the grey car.  Glad your ok!!  I know how you feel about not being the same car.  I had a mustang 79, that I turned into a V8 car when I was 21, I had the car since I was 15, couple months after it was painted (I rode around a year in primer) a 16yr girl ran a stop sign and took off the front of car, nasty wreck.  Its crazy how we become attached to these cars.  Good luck with new build!!!

Good looking engine though. I got out of the shiny stuff for a while. Time for me to get busy getting the shiny stuff back on.

Someone is gonna miss what appeared to be straight and decent quarters, fenders, floor pans, torque boxes and trunk pan, not to mention a relatively clean doghouse (front subframe).

Sucks about the car.  I'm sure the new one will be sorted in good time.

I hear ya on not having enough room to keep all the bits you like.  It's amazing how much more room a car that is in pieces takes up.  I stripped my wrecked Volvo pretty much down to nil.  Now I'm tripping over all the parts since I haven't had the time for them to find their way onto the other cars.

I bought a car a while ago for parts, I got  a lot of parts. ic got the doors from that one. I wish I had a 88 harness. I got the rear in today one thing down.

That is true about how much more room the parts take up! The first thing I do when I get into a new car is to buy a parts car ( or two!). They aren't bad until you strip 'em out.

I'm glad you are OK buddy. Also glad to see you are still hanging onto a cat.

I've got a mass air conversion harness done by Windsor-Fox. Bought it from a bud who had it in his 5.0 converted 87 TC.  I'd do a trade for some nice TC snowflake wheels.
