LS1, T-56, T-Top having Hoosier awesomeness.

So the 89 needs to go away now. No more WWD for a while. First "big boy" car I've had and next to the GP, the most cookie cutter car I've ever had.
Now i have less reason to rush the Cougar and do it however I want later. Who knows, this drivetrain might end up in it.
3' all the way back, no cats, resonator, or ler... Its loud! 4.11s arent bad at all with 6 gears. Guess I need to start learning LS motors. Second GM Ive ever owned out of 17 cars, wonder how this one will go.
Time for more mullet and less sleeves.
I suppose to each his own, but I have never been an F-Body fan. They're about as interesting to me as an 87-93 Mustang...and those are snooze inducing.
Granted, the LSx motors can do their thing, but that's about it.
Anyway, not to be an ass. I know it's exciting to have a "new" car. Enjoy it. ;)
Lol, Im with you on that. I am a huge fan of T-Tops, and the LS motors. Cheapest way into the game is a clapped out FBomb. Im not one for having cars you see everywhere, but you cant have everything all the time without a pile of cash so this will do for now.
That's how I ended up with my T-bird!!! HAhahaha.
It has 4 wheels and a motor, everything else is fluff lol.
Tanted?
Congrats! I've been wanting another LS1 car myself.
Lt1 = fail. LS1= ok to this Ford Freeek, if I had to choose between the Gen III and Gen IV "sbc".
Not a big Chevy fan, but that is a nice car. Not going to down someone for owning a Chevy. It's not a ricer or a ricer wannabe. That makes it OK in my book. Congrats!
Question: Whadya got in that thing?
Answer: Seats and a steering wheel ;)
Good luck & Enjoy!!
Wreck it and now you have the perfect engine and trans for your 86 cougar.
All joking aside, I think we would see your fox more if you quit buying other cars.
If I ever find a salvage yard new 5.0/automatic trans combo for a decent price, I'll swap that into the cat.
That would be awesome...a ton of work and $$$, but awesome.
DO IIIT! I miss my '02 Trans Am WS6, I had the T56 in it too. LOVE that 6-speed, so solid feeling shift. I plan on buying another one in a few years. I traded my other one for my truck (I needed a 4x4 badly). I like the Firebirds more than the Camaros though. :P
Ditto. Every time i look at a t-coupe i get all teary eyed thinking about a coyote powered one. Like you said, auto too.
Lol I'm only on 17-18 in 7 years. Honestly LS swap has been in my head for a while.
YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. we have 5 of them . All 6 speeders. Cant beat the 60-60 or the T56. You have just entered over to the DARK SIDE. Posting chevys on a ford site. WOW!!!

That is a nice CAMARO and just for the record they handle great. If you need any info we specialize in LSX engines. We have built many in the shop. They handle great and you can put some real big sneakers on them. I LOVE THEM!!! Sorry i know this is a ford site. Please FORGIVE!!
Ok to save face here and not get hammered by you guys here is a sub frame you should be interested in. It is a custom piece for installing a CYOTE in a early mustang. The contracts have been signed and we are going to start on it next week.

All 3 are ugmo and class less ;0) but nice cars none the less.
I always did like the 98+ Firebirds....good friend of mine bought one brand new, I was with him he picked it up...he let me drive it a few miles. Think his was a 99, possibly '00. Had some serious go and whoa. Was the Ws6 package too. He wanted one in that purple color, (forgot the name of it) but by then they'd quit selling them in it...his was red, 6 speed. Awesome car.
I want to find some 17x11s for the rear. The wheels have grown on me now that I polished them up and dropped it a little. Rear end is my main focus now. Think I'm going to throw the money at it and go 9". Long tubes , egr and air pump need to go away, tune and maybe ill put a ler on it (straight 3" sounds awesome though) are going to happen while I save for the rear.
First I need to get some o2 sims in it and pass emissions so I can get it legal lol.
I am really happy with it do far, just need to go a little faster.
