Title: 88TC 5 speed question
Post by: V8Demon on June 01, 2012, 01:54:41 PM
A buddy of mine has an 88TC 5 speed car that needs a couple of transmission parts to get her going again.  He's looking for the clutch fork and retainer spring.  What other t5's are hydraulic besides the 87-88 TC's?  He's having a hell of a time finding the parts.  Took the car off the road and redid the motor and rest of the trans about 2 years ago an has been searhing ever since.  I've even put up a thread in the wanted section here for him.

What about a mid '90's Ford Ranger or something similar?  Would the setup from that work?

There is a bearing that replaces the  retaining clips that break off.

Link to NATO thread discussing it.
